Founding:

Go Defensive was formed around the idea of raiding the WotLK 25 man ladder, with a group of skilled players, but on a shorter schedule. Why such a short schedule, you may ask. The answer is actually the sole reason for the guilds existence. Go Defensive's officer team and most of it's playerbase stem from some of the best guilds on Silvermoon, and while we still have a passion for raiding, other commitments mean we cannot commit 4-6 days a week, every week, to the game.

This is where we hope all of the similarities with other short-schedule raiding guilds ends. Go Defensive is in no way casual, the majority of our members have been raiding in the game since "vanilla" WoW, our raid leaders have experience from Molten Core, through the entirety of Naxxramas, to Karazhan, to Illidan himself.

Our short raiding week does however mean we must make the most of our time while raiding, consumables will be expected when called for and we do expect all members to be trying to get the most out of their class or specific role within the raid group.


Go Defensive:


The main aim of Go Defensive is basically to create an enjoyable raiding guild for the more experienced/skilled player, who doesn’t mind putting the effort into raiding, on a shorter schedule.
We want to keep our raid team relatively small to give you all the most raids possible, cutting down on standby rotations. So we'll be looking for high attendance from our members.
We intend to clear the WotLK, and not too far behind the top guilds as well.

Firstly, the most important. An efficient, dedicated, experienced... and fun raid. We raid because we enjoy doing it, we want you guys to enjoy it too.
